How To Achieve The Perfect Ballet Bun
- Brush your hair back into a ponytail. Try to get your hair straight and even, using a water spray can help smooth things out and make your hair more manageable.
- The best height is right on the crown of your head, so that you can just see the top of your ponytail poking up if you look in the mirror.
- The tighter you can get your ponytail the better so use a good strong hair elastic!
- Use a comb or brush to remove any bumps (a nit comb is really useful for this).
- Now you can use a little hairspray or gel spray to keep any wispy bits back.
- Start to wrap the ponytail around the hair elastic to form the bun shape.
- Once you reach the end of your ponytail then tuck the end of your hair under the bun to stop the ends of your hair poking out.
- Secure the bun with hair pins. Start with pins at 12 o’clock, 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock, and 9 o’clock ( if you imagine your bun was a clock face).
- You can now place a bun/hair net over the bun. This keeps everything in place.
- You can now add more pins to really secure your bun and if you like add a sparkly hair pin or a bow to really finish it off.
- A final spritz of hair/gel spray and you’ll have the perfect bun!
